WinterLights

WinterLights is a national competition that encourages municipalities to celebrate light and life through decorative, cultural and spiritual programs which encourages community involvement throughout Vaughan neighbourhoods, public spaces and streets through energy efficient light shows, cultural events and spiritual linkages with light.

Communities are judged on festive season celebrations, winter pleasures, visual presentation, goodwill programs and tourism/promotion. Celebrate light and life - help us showcase our City and community spirit through volunteering, attending events and decorating your home or business.

The City of Vaughan has participated in the Winterlights Celebration Program from 2006 to 2009. It competed against other towns and cities throughout Canada by population category in the national challenges. In 2009, the City won the National challenge.
