WINTER PLACEMENT OF GARBAGE, BLUE BOXES AND GREEN BINS

  • During heavy snowfalls, when snow ploughing operations will be required, place blue boxes, green bins and garbage on the RIGHT side of the driveway set back approximately 0.9 metres (3ft.) from the curbside

The RIGHT side of the driveway is defined as the right side when standing at the curb facing the house. Setting out waste materials in this matter helps prevent them from becoming buried under snow banks during the City's snow clearing operations

  • For the safety of the collection crews, residents are reminded not to place waste materials on top of snow banks

  • Waste materials buried by snow ploughing operations or placed on top of snow banks may not be collected
