The Engineering Planning and Studies
staff create, update and manage the water and sanitary sewer computer
models for the City’s infrastructure.
Staff also prepare and update comprehensive water and sanitary
sewer status reports. Planning and Studies staff assist the Development
Section and review and provide comments on the following applications:
- Draft Plan of Subdivisions
- Site Plans
- Zoning
- Land Severance
- OPA review
Our division keeps track of the status and approval of servicing
allocation for proposed and existing development. We maintain and
update our inventory of the Stormwater Management (SWM) Ponds in
the City as new development is proposed and implement a SWM Pond
retrofit program.
Finally, we review, comment and approve the Master Environmental
Servicing Plan (MESP) for Block Plans. We also review servicing
reports as required for proposed OPA areas. Sometimes we are involved
in special studies such as:
- City-wide water pressure study
- Water service replacement study
