Radar Message Boards

Introduction Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) List of Rader Message Boards Locations

Introduction

The City of Vaughan currently has four Radar Message Boards (also known as Electronic Speed Signs), which will be placed two boards per location. This initiative is designed to raise awareness of motorists of their travelling speed in comparison to the posted speed.

The sign is equipped with a radar unit that continuously monitors the speed of oncoming traffic and displays it on an LED message board. The signs are rotated throughout the City between the months of April to October. The signs are placed on the same street, facing opposite directions, to monitor oncoming traffic in both directions.
